Digital Literacy Classes

This fall, HOPE for Youth & Families is offering a ten-week digital literacy program for anyone over 18.

The program will introduce participants to Digital Navigation, the support and guidance people need to confidently access devices, internet services, and online resources, and Digital Equity, the belief that everyone should be able to participate in our connected world without technology or internet access becoming a barrier.

Participants will utilize Google Chromebooks provided for lending by Hope for Youth and Families while developing practical skills through many topics. For example:
  • Introduction to Your Chromebook
  • Chromebook Intensive and Northstar Digital Literacy Certification
  • Introduction to Digital Graphic Design and Canva
  • Canva Intensive and Final Project; Design Your Own Graduation Flyer
  • Step-Up Ceremony and Celebration

Upon completion, participants will receive a program certificate, any Northstar certifications earned, a binder containing course materials, and an invitation to continue into the next level of programming.
