Madeleine Peyroux

Event overview:
Madeleine Peyroux returns to the stage with We Are America, a deeply personal and powerfully resonant concert experience celebrating the diverse voices that form our collective musical heritage. Marking the 10th anniversary of her acclaimed album Secular Hymns and the 30th anniversary of her breakthrough album Dreamland, this tour brings Peyroux back to the roots of what made her one of the most distinctive and arresting vocalists of her generation. Her performances are known for intimacy, storytelling, and an uncanny ability to make every song feel like it was written just for you.

Programme details:
Reuniting with longtime collaborators Barak Mori on bass and Jon Herington on guitar, the same trio that recorded Secular Hymns in 2016, Peyroux revisits a spirit of raw, close up artistry where every note feels human, unguarded, and alive. The setlist spans a century of American song, featuring works by Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Bessie Smith, Judy Collins, Allen Toussaint, Bob Dylan, and more, alongside Peyroux’s own soul bearing originals. Each piece is chosen not only for its beauty, but for its hope, struggle, humour, and humanity.
